Words Have Power
"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic."
Albus Dumbledore ~ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II
There was no more poignant moment for me during a film of recent memory, than the moment when Dumbledore spoke these words in the final Harry Potter film.
Words are the most powerful resource we have. With words we can evoke emotions; we can conjure images that will stay with people forever. We can hurt greatly – using our words to inflict pain and sadness. We can use our words to uplift and empower. With words we can mold those around us – and create for ourselves.
Too often many of us find ourselves taking for granted the power of our words.Maybe we tweeted something we regretted later. Perhaps you said something to a loved one that came from a place of anger, jealousy, spite, or some other negative place. Far too often we use words without thinking about what the consequences of putting those words into the universe might be.
Each and every day you should consider that the words you use, whether spoken or written, are capable of changing your life. Capable of changing your world.Seriously.
Replace can’t with can. Won’t with will. Defeat with victory. Turn rage into courage. Courage to face your obstacles and challenges. Courage to overcome adversity. Try and use powerful language each and every day. Powerful positive language. Not only with yourself through affirmations and self talk, but to others as well.
Think of words not as idle things that flow forth from your lips into the world around you without meaning or care. But instead as powerfultools, and weapons. Tools to build your world, and weapons to defendyour spirit and character.
With words – anything is possible. Words have the power, once spoken, to become real.

Watch it – and think about whether or not you are using the rightwords. Are the words you use helping you or harming you?
Dumbledore was right when he spoke of the power of words. Realize this and unlock true magic for yourself today.
