The Saskatchewan Roughriders and The Curse of 13

It’s November 13th, 2011 as I write this week’s blog post. A post in which I have chosen to reflect on my love affair with the number 13, and how it relates to (and has affected) my favourite CFL team the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

This past year has been tumultuous and storied for the Riders. In the 2010 season I predicted the unfortunate end to the season for the green and white with a shocking loss against Montreal for the 2nd time. In January of 2011 I also made several predictions for the Riders live on the air with Big Dog 92.7’s Brad Grass and Heather Prozzak. In these predictions I stated that 2011 would be a year of growth and rebirth for the team, seeing them out of the playoffs earlier than they have been in recent history. I also foretold Gene Makowsky winning his seat in the 2011 provincial election and making 2011 his final year of professional football. My predictions for the 2011 Saskatchewan Roughriders have come true; this was indeed an awful season filled with loss, disappointment, and regret. The single brightest spot of the season was nostalgic favourite Ken Miller’s return to the team as head coach, and Andy Fantuz donning a green and white jersey once again.

No Such Thing As Coincidence...

In my opinion there is no such thing as a coincidence…

Coincidence is defined as: A sequence of events that although accidental seems to have been planned or arranged.

We give too much credence and credit to the word coincidence. Casting off moments that are extraordinary in nature as being simply “coincidental”. We quite often will have moments of genuine intuitive clarity that we down play and remove great levels of significance from. As you read this I encourage you to stop doing this. I encourage you to realize that nothing in your world is coincidental. Coincidence is a fallacy – it does not exist.

The Moose Jaw Seance Controversy

With Halloween 2011 just behind us – I am reminded of October 2010, when an intense debate about séances and religion was sparked and burned across Canada. I was at the center of this debate – and for the first time, here is my story.

In early 2010 I approached the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum about the possibility of putting together a Halloween event at the Sukanen Ghost Village. The event would be one that saw a fusion of traditional Halloween cheese and real exploration into the presence of energy that might be present in the buildings on the property. All of the buildings on the Sukanen property are old structures from towns that are no longer inhabited. A lot of the pieces have a story – and a fair bit of history. After talking with the WDM about the event it was decided that a better venue would be Moose Jaw’s Western Development Museum. A place which many of the employees claim is actually haunted.

Using a Pendulum

Clients will approach me all the time wondering how best to unlock their own intuitive ability.

I would like to share with you the number one tool and secret to unlocking the natural knowing and gift of intuitive insight that all of us has.

What I am about to share with you is the use of a tool that has been in existence for more than 5000 years. That tool? The pendulum.

This is a divination and intuitive tool that is easily fashioned from objects you have in your own home. Specialized pendulums with rare stones, crystals, specific symbolism, and deep meaning can be purchased at esoteric and new age shops. My personal preference, and the thing I have found works best for most of my clients, is to fashion a pendulum from simple objects that are meaningful to you. You will need a 6-9 inch piece of string, chain, ribbon or yarn, and a weight for the end, a pendant, ring, heavy earring, stone, bead, seashell, etc. Be creative in the materials you use, creating something unique and meaningful. Once you have assembled your items, make sure to tie the weight in a way that doesn’t position the knot off to one side. The idea is for it to hang straight down.

With having performed readings for men and women from all age groups and walks of life I have a wealth of experience in working with and approaching questions and concerns from many areas of the human experience. Reading this right now – you too are probably considering calling me and booking an intuitive consult.

Before you pick up the phone – give good strong consideration to your reasons for seeking a consult. What are you looking to gain from your session? Clarity? Insight? A deeper understanding of a problem you are facing in your own life? A glimpse of what the future may hold? All of these are perfectly fine reasons to book your session. Have a clear expectation of exactly what it is you hope to gain from your session. What do you hope to gain from working with me? This is a question I ask 100% of my clients. I want to setup a clear measurement of success for the work we are about to do. I want your expectation to be clear, and I want to ensure that I am capable of meeting it. My sessions are client centered. It’s not about me and my ability. It’s about you. It’s about empowering you to go forward in your life with a clearer path and more purposeful steps. Estevan: An Incredible Community

This past weekend I found myself in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

I had been asked to perform at a fundraiser for Kurtis Herbert and his family.

On August 9th, at 18 years old Kurtis was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a very rare form of the disease. Faced with a battery of treatments and currently undergoing chemotherapy in Regina – this young man has an incredible battle ahead. A bone marrow donor has been found, and Kurtis will be travelling to Seattle to for the transplant.

The community of Estevan rallied around the Herbert family Saturday night. The show was a complete sell out and the live auction was a huge success. As announced at the end of the evening Saturday a total of just over $25,000 was raised for Kurtis and his family.
